When you first get your candle, do not trim the wick. Let your candle burn for 2-3 hours. Soy wax has a memory and once the first burn has taken place, this will ensure that your candle will burn evenly every time. Keep your wick trimmed at 1/4'“. If your candle begins to mushroom or give black soot this means your wick is too long.
